Terms and conditions
you must agree to the following before registering for any class
(in some cases, failure to do so may result in loss of deposit and/or additional fees)
I agree to read the description and class information BEFORE signing up.
I understand that Keep It Real Acting Studios accepts a deposit of 50% of the cost of class, and by paying the deposit, I agree to pay the remaining amount before class on the first day.
If I use a credit card, there may be a small processing fee in addition to the balance.
I understand that Keep It Real Acting Studios will email all receipts, confirmations, Zoom links, and homework assignments to the email address used to register for class. I will email keepitrealacting@gmail.com should transactions need to happen with a different email address.
I understand it is my job to confirm enrollment in a class should I not hear from Keep It Real Acting Studios by the first day of class. Email keepitrealacting@gmail.com to confirm.
Keep It Real Acting Studios requires AT LEAST a 7-day cancellation notice before the start of class to be eligible for any refund. If I wish to cancel, I must contact the office prior to 7 days before class is scheduled to begin, and only a processing fee of $35.00 will be assessed ($15 processing fee for The Castable Actor and for The Business of Acting). NO REFUND is given if cancellation occurs after the 7 days. If I choose to cancel my enrollment less than 7 days before a class begins, the remaining balance must still be paid in full.
Keep It Real Acting Studios requires AT LEAST a 7-day transfer notice to move my enrollment to a different session. NO TRANSFER is given if the request occurs after the 7 days. Transfers are only available for a $35 fee.
I will read the information in the confirmation email I will receive once registered for class; this includes pertinent information such as class start date and time.
I understand that discounts may be offered, and expiration dates are effective for each discount. Discounts cannot be combined with other offers or applied retroactively.
I understand that, unless otherwise indicated, all classes are on Zoom.
I understand that some Keep It Real Acting Studios classes require prior approval to enroll. I will email keepitrealacting@gmail.com to ensure a class is right for me.
I understand Keep It Real Acting Studios reserves the right to substitute the advertised instructor if the instructor has to cancel for professional or personal reasons. They will be replaced with a qualified professional.
I understand Keep It Real Acting Studios reserves the right to substitute guests. If a guest cancels last minute, KIRA reserves the right to send final takes to an industry professional or industry professionals.
This is a class/workshop/showcase and is NOT a job interview or audition or representation opportunity whatsoever. The presence of any teacher, casting director/associate, agent or manager is neither a guarantee nor a promise of employment or representation. The intent of the class/workshop/showcase is solely educational, a learning and networking experience.
Make-Up Class Policy:
I understand that the refund and make-up policy is subject to Keep It Real Acting’s discretion.
Students can make up to two classes for four to six-week courses for a $35 fee per class. If the class is not full, I may participate. If the class is full, I may audit.
If I have to miss a class due to booking acting work, excluding extra work, and have to film during class time, I may make up that class by attending that corresponding class during the next session. A call sheet must be provided. Example: If you miss Week 4 of class, you may attend the Week 4 class during the next session. If the class is not full, I may participate. If the class is full, I may audit. I will provide a call sheet to Keep it Real, Acting as proof of on-set work. Please contact the office ahead of time when scheduling a make-up class.
There are no make-up classes for Advanced Meisner Scene Study. If I need to pause and let KIRA know in advance, I can hold your spot in class for a $50 fee.
Keep It Real Acting Studios requires AT LEAST a 14-day cancellation notice for the ongoing theatrical class, Advanced Meisner Scene Study. If I plan not to attend the next monthly session, without a 14-day notice, my card will still be charged for the following month. No exceptions. No refunds.
Private Coaching & Taping Policy:
I understand that all private coaching & taping requests with Judy Kain must be made twenty-four hours before the desired appointment time. Exceptions may be considered if I email keepitrealacting@gmail.com.
I understand that all private coaching & taping requests with the KIRA staff must be made twenty-four hours before the desired appointment time. Exceptions may be considered if I email keepitrealacting@gmail.com.
I understand that all private coaching and taping cancellations for Judy Kain must be made three hours or more before the scheduled appointment time, or I will be charged in full. There is no refund if I do not cancel three hours or more before my scheduled time. If I cancel in a timely fashion, I will receive a full refund.
I understand that all private coaching and taping cancellations with KIRA Staff must be made three hours or more before the scheduled appointment time, or I will be charged in full. There is no refund if I do not cancel twenty-four hours or more before my scheduled time. If I cancel in a timely fashion, I will receive a full refund.
I understand that coaching is dependent on instructor availability. KIRA reserves the right to substitute instructors and cancel or reschedule last minute.
I understand that all weekday audition tapings require a $22.50 non-refundable deposit and all weekend audition tapings require a $30 non-refundable deposit. Tapings that surpass 15 minutes will add $1.50/ minute on weekdays and $2/minute on weekends.
I understand that a small tax will be added to taping invoices.
I understand that a $15 late fee will be assessed for late payments.
